La 72ª entrega anual de los premios Emmy se lleva a cabo anoche, pero la Academia de Televisión ya ha anunciado los ganadores de 2020 en una variedad de categorías.
Organizados por Nicole Byer, los Creative Arts Emmys han aprovechado los desafíos creados por la pandemia de coronavirus para su beneficio. En lugar de tener lugar dos sábados por la noche en la semana anterior a la ceremonia anual de los Emmy, como lo ha hecho en años anteriores, la versión 2020 de la ceremonia de premiación se extendió a lo largo de varias noches y se cambió a una presentación virtual.
Los premios Emmy de artes creativas de este año, que otorgan en gran medida honores a los contribuyentes por debajo de la línea en todo tipo de formatos televisivos, comenzaron el lunes por la noche con ganadores en el espacio de la televisión de realidad y la no ficción. El martes, miércoles y jueves abarcaron programas de televisión de variedades y series con guión, respectivamente, antes de la final del sábado por la noche que eligió a los actores invitados y más.
Por delante, la lista de ganadores del Emmy 2020 hasta ahora, incluidos siete premios para The Mandalorian (los primeros honores otorgados a Disney +), dos estatuillas para Maya Rudolph (su primer premio Emmy) e incluso un impulso para los videos de formato corto incipientes como para la plataforma Quibi (los actores Laurence Fishburne y Jasmine Cesphas Jones ganaron premios de actuación por la serie #FreeRayshawn).
