Temporada de Premios: Ganadores de la 82da entrega de los Golden Globe Awards

"Emilia Pérez", "The Brutalist", "Shogun", "Hacks" y "Baby Reindeer" estuvieron entre los grandes triunfadores, mientras que Zoe Saldaña, Fernanda Torres, Adrien Brody, Kieran Culkin, Jean Smart, Jeremy Allen White, Colin Farrell, Anna Sawai, Sebastian Stan, Demi Moore, Jodie Foster y Ali Wong estuvieron entre los ganadores individuales.

Los Globos de Oro 2025 se entregaron este pasado domingo por la noche.

"Emilia Pérez" fue nombrada mejor película musical o de comedia y mejor película de habla no inglesa, mientras que Zoe Saldaña se llevó el premio a la mejor actriz de reparto por su actuación. La canción de la película “El Mal” ganó el premio a la mejor canción original. Mientras tanto, "The Brutalist" fue nombrada mejor película dramática. Brady Corbet también fue nombrado mejor director por esta última, mientras que su estrella Adrien Brody fue nombrado mejor actor en un drama.

"Flow" ganó el premio a la mejor película de animación. "Wicked" ganó el premio a la mejor película cinematográfica y de taquilla.

"Shogun" fue nombrada mejor serie dramática, con Anna Sawai, Hiroyuki Sanada y Tadanobu Asano ganando por sus actuaciones en el programa.

"Hacks" fue nombrada mejor serie de televisión, musical o comedia, y Jean Smart se llevó un premio por su actuación. "Baby Reindeer" fue la ganadora en la categoría de mejor miniserie, serie antológica o película hecha para televisión, mientras que Jessica Gunning ganó un premio por su actuación.

Nikki Glaser fue la anfitriona de la ceremonia, en la que se entregaron premios en 27 categorías de cine y televisión. El viernes por la noche, Viola Davis recibió el premio Cecil B. DeMille y Ted Danson aceptó el premio Carol Burnett en la Gala inaugural de los Globos de Oro. Estos dos premios ya se habían entregado durante la transmisión en vivo, pero este año se entregaron en una ceremonia especial a la que asistieron estrellas como Jane Fonda, Meryl Streep, Mary Steenburgen, Carol Burnett, Anthony Anderson y Babyface.

Esta fue la segunda ceremonia de los Globos de Oro desde que su patrocinador de toda la vida, la Asociación de Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood, fue reemplazada tras la adquisición de todos los activos, derechos y propiedades de la HFPA por Dick Clark Productions y Eldridge. Temporada de Premios: Ganadores a la 76ta entrega de los Primetime Emmy Awards

Por segunda vez este año, Hollywood se reunió para honrar a las mayores estrellas de la televisión. 'Shogun' dominó con 18 victorias y 'The Bear' consiguió 11.

Cuando un cómico en apuros tiene un gesto amable con una mujer vulnerable, desencadena una obsesión enfermiza que amenaza con destrozar la vida de ambos.

Nunca pensé que las palabras “enviado desde mi iPhone” serían tan escalofriantes. "Baby Reindeer" es una adaptación de la aclamada obra unipersonal de Richard Gadd, que desarrolla la horrible historia de su experiencia al ser acosado por una mujer de mediana edad llamada Martha, a quien conoce en el pub donde trabaja. Ella consigue su dirección de correo electrónico y comienza a enviarle mensajes, incesantemente, a veces de manera coherente, a veces no, durante toda la noche, cada noche. Y la manera en que siempre terminan son "enviado desde mi iPhone", cuando la mujer ni siquiera tiene uno. Al principio, Baby Reindeer es escalofriante en casos pequeños como este. Pero a medida que el comportamiento de Martha se vuelve más obsesivo y el de Donny más autodestructivo, los dos quedan atrapados en una terrible espiral descendente. Este es un thriller de autodesprecio que es implacablemente sombrío y a la vez mórbidamente gracioso.

Es una historia real, nos cuenta al principio, muy a lo Netflix. Gadd llevó por primera vez a Baby Reindeer a la periferia de Edimburgo en 2019 como una obra de una hora, resumiendo la historia hasta sus desgarradores elementos esenciales. Martha existía sólo como un taburete de bar vacío, y Gadd utilizó multimedia y grabaciones de mensajes que ella le había dejado a él y a personas cercanas a él para darle cuerpo. El final fue devastador. Solo puedes sentir lástima por las personas que quizás hayan oído hablar de Gadd como un stand-up y hayan aparecido para ver si los haría reír.

Sin embargo, la televisión no es teatro y este no es Gadd dirigiéndose a un taburete de bar vacío. A lo largo de siete episodios, tiene que hacer más. Gadd toma fragmentos de su trabajo anterior para permitir que la historia se extienda en espacios más grandes y ambiciosos. No está interpretando a sí mismo: Donny es un comediante y escritor en apuros, desesperado por el éxito, que participa en competencias con comedia surrealista con utilería que es más un fracaso que un éxito. Martha se vuelve real, con una actuación espectacular de Jessica Gunning, quien logra transmitir de todo, desde lástima hasta desamor, malicia viciosa y violenta, a menudo con un ajuste apenas perceptible de su expresión. No es un papel fácil y ella es realmente fantástica en él.

Cuando Martha entra un día al pub de Donny, llorando, él le ofrece una taza de té. Es la primera de muchas decisiones terribles que lo llevan a un mundo de sufrimiento, aunque por razones que luego quedarán claras, la cuestión de la vulnerabilidad es incómoda y tiene múltiples capas. Donny se siente halagado de que Martha se interese por él y, a cambio, él le presta cierta atención. Pero Martha resulta ser una acosadora en serie que, como le dirá más tarde la policía, es una persona "seria", y una vez que se fija en el hombre al que apoda su "bebé reno", se abre camino en todos los rincones de su vida.

Baby Reindeer recibe una fotografía extraordinariamente bien. Parece una película de terror. Hay primeros planos incómodos; ángulos inquietantes y apenas inclinados; un escalofrío desorientador incorporado a su estética. A veces es aterrador y otras no. La presión aumenta con cada encuadre. Gadd no ha suavizado la complejidad moral de la obra para televisión. En todo caso, se ha adentrado más en las zonas grises. De sus muchos temas desafiantes, trata de la vergüenza, la crueldad, el odio a uno mismo, las bromas, el ego, la lástima, las enfermedades mentales, la culpabilidad, la soledad, la vigilancia del acecho, el deseo, las drogas duras, la esperanza y la desesperación. Gadd hace preguntas imposibles y desconcertantes y las vincula al mástil del trauma. ¿Se relaciona con Martha cuando sabe que no debería hacerlo porque siente lástima por ella, o lo hace porque ve la situación como material potencial? Cuando Martha aparece por primera vez en uno de sus conciertos de comedia, discuten y el público lo disfruta. La próxima vez, su interacción no será tan amigable para el público. ¿Quién es, en esta situación, el cruel?

Inevitablemente, "Baby Reindeer" resulta una visualización estresante y, a menudo, angustiosa; al describirlo como “todavía tremendamente divertido”, los responsables de marketing de Netflix son los únicos que se ríen. A lo largo de la serie, la pura embestida de dolor es difícil de soportar. “Seguramente las cosas no podrían empeorar a partir de aquí”, dice Donny en un momento dado. Lector, así es. Al final, esto hace que la visualización sea frustrante. Pero al mismo tiempo es original, convincente e inolvidable. El episodio cuatro, en el que descubrimos más sobre el estado mental de Donny, es uno de los episodios de televisión más inquietantes y perturbadores que he visto en mucho tiempo. Sospecho que también es extremadamente importante que lo que representa sea representado, examinado y explorado en la pantalla. Venga prevenido y espere que le pongan nervioso.
