Temporada de Premios: Nominados a los Critics Choice Awards


La Asociación de Críticos reveló el lunes las nominaciones para la 26ta edición anual de los Critics Choice Awards en medio de la pandemia de COVID-19 en curso y los cierres generalizados de teatros que han resultado en una temporada de premios interrumpida.

Mank de David Fincher lidera los nominados de este año con un total de 12 menciones, que incluyen a mejor película, mejor director, mejor guión original y mejor cinematografía. Las estrellas Gary Oldman y Amanda Seyfried también obtuvieron nominaciones de actuación.

Minari, dirigida por Lee Isaac Chung, le siguió de cerca con 10 menciones, incluyendo a mejor película, mejor actor (Steven Yeun), mejor actriz de reparto (Yuh-Jung Youn), mejor reparto y mejor guión original.

Otras películas que recibieron múltiples nominaciones incluyeron Ma Rainey's Black Bottom con ocho menciones y News of the World con siete. Seis fue el número mágico de Da 5 Bloods, Nomadland, One Night in Miami, Promising Young Woman y The Trial of the Chicago 7. Sound of Metal y Tenet recibieron cada uno cinco nominaciones, seguidas por The Father con cuatro.

En las categorías de actuación, Ben Affleck -después de ser desairado por los Globos de Oro y los Premios SAG- se encuentra entre los nominados a mejor actor por su actuación en The Way Back. Olivia Colman fue la única artista este año que obtuvo una nominación a mejor actriz de cine y televisión por The Father y The Crown, respectivamente. Mientras que Chadwick Boseman recibió nominaciones póstumas como actor por dos películas, Da 5 Bloods y Ma Rainey.

Todos los ganadores serán anunciados en una ceremonia que se transmitirá en marzo en The CW. Taye Diggs regresa como anfitrión por tercer año consecutivo.
