La temporada de premios finalmente comenzó en serio anoche con la 78va edición de los Globos de Oro, y todos los ojos estuvieron puestos en la ceremonia diseñada para honrar la excelencia en el cine y la televisión.
Los Globos ya se han retrasado desde enero debido a la pandemia, y las presentadoras por cuarta vez, Tina Fey y Amy Poehler, serán las anfitrionas de costas opuestas (Fey presenta desde Nueva York mientras Poehler sostiene a Los Ángeles). Las celebridades, el gran atractivo para sintonizar, especialmente cuando comienzan a beber, aceptaron sus estatuillas de forma remota, aunque los presentadores aparecieron en cualquier lugar.
"Nomadland" se llevó los premios mayores a Mejor Drama y Mejor Dirección, mientras Aaron Sorkin recibe el Globo a Mejor Guión con "The Trial of the Chicago 7". Chadwick Boseman recibió un Globo póstumo por su personaje en "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom", mientras "The Crown" se llevó todos los galardones en la categoría de Serie de Drama.
