Me emociona ver la competencia de Nomadland y Promising Young Woman, por las tramas que ambas arrastran hacia esta temporada de premios que ya garantizaba ser muy diferente a las anteriores. Otros de los principales contendientes en las categorías de películas incluyen "The Trial of the Chicago 7", "The Father" y "One Night in Miami", y los principales candidatos de televisión incluyen "The Queen's Gambit", "The Undoing" y "The Crown".
Los candidatos a la mejor actriz en una categoría de drama incluyen a Viola Davis por su interpretación de la titular Ma Rainey en "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom", Vanessa Kirby por su actuación en "Pieces of a Woman" y Frances McDormand por su papel protagónico en la película "Nomadland".
