Temporada de premios 2026: Ganadores a la 98va entrega de los Premios de la Academia

"One Battle After Another" fue nombrada mejor película en la 98ª edición de los Premios Óscar, que se entregaron el domingo.

La dramedia de PTA se llevó seis premios Óscar en total. Paul Thomas Anderson también ganó el premio a mejor director y mejor guion adaptado, siendo estas sus primeras victorias en la Academia. Sean Penn, quien no estuvo presente en la ceremonia, ganó el premio a mejor actor de reparto, estableciendo un récord con su victoria en la historia de los Óscar. 

Este año, los Óscar añadieron una nueva categoría, la primera desde que se introdujo el premio a la mejor película de animación en 2002,  que reconoce el mejor reparto. Cassandra Kulukundis ganó el Óscar por "One Battle After Another".

Por otra parte, Sinners se llevó cuatro estatuillas. Michael B. Jordan fue nombrado mejor actor , mientras que Ryan Coogler ganó el premio al mejor guion original por su película, que también se alzó con el premio a la mejor banda sonora original para Ludwig Goransson y a la mejor fotografía para Autumn Durald Arkapaw, quien se convirtió en la primera mujer en ganar este galardón.

Las películas One Battle y Sinners impulsaron a Warner Bros. a una noche de éxito récord.

Jessie Buckley fue nombrada mejor actriz por "Hamnet". Amy Madigan ganó el premio a mejor actriz de reparto por su papel en Weapons .

La película KPop Demon Hunters ganó el Oscar a la mejor película de animación , mientras que la canción "Golden" de la película se convirtió en la primera canción de K-pop en ganar un Oscar, en la categoría de mejor canción original.

Frankenstein se alzó con tres premios: a mejor diseño de vestuario, mejor maquillaje y peluquería, y mejor diseño de producción.

Este año, la Academia también ha decidido incluir solo dos interpretaciones en vivo de dos canciones nominadas:  «Golden» de  KPop Demon Hunters  y «I Lied to You» de  Sinners , con el fin de agilizar la ceremonia y que termine a tiempo. El programa también incluyó homenajes a varias estrellas que fallecieron durante el último año, entre ellas Rob Reiner, Robert Redford, Diane Keaton y Catherine O'Hara .

La 98.ª edición de los premios,  presentada por Conan O'Brien por segundo año consecutivo, se transmitió en vivo por ABC y Hulu desde el Dolby Theatre en Los Ángeles.

Temporada de premios 2026: Ganadores de la 79na entrega de los Premios BAFTA

La ceremonia de la Academia Británica en Londres, presentada por Alan Cumming, vio a la estrella de "I Swear", Robert Aramayo, sorprender a la multitud repleta de estrellas con dos victorias en una noche, además de un honor de casting para la película.

El thriller político de Paul Thomas Anderson, "One Battle After Another", ganó seis premios BAFTA el domingo, mientras que el drama de terror vampírico de Ryan Coogler, "Sinners", obtuvo tres, estableciendo un récord para una película de un cineasta afroamericano. Y la comedia dramática de Kirk Jones, sobre la defensa del síndrome de Tourette,  "I Swear", sorprendió al público en la ceremonia al ganar dos premios votados por la industria y un tercero votado por el público.

La estrella de la película, Robert Aramayo, se marchó del evento con dos estatuillas: una como Estrella Emergente y otra como Mejor Actor, una categoría repleta de estrellas, en la que su victoria provocó una profunda sorpresa entre el público. El otro premio para "I Swear" fue en la categoría de Mejor Reparto.

Las nominaciones a los BAFTA habían preparado un emocionante viaje para los honores de la Academia Británica, con "One Battle After Another" obteniendo 14 nominaciones, superando por poco a "Sinners" con 13, y la rompecorazones shakespeariana de Chloé Zhao, "Hamnet", y la aventura de ping-pong de Safdie, "Marty Supreme", con 11 nominaciones cada uno.

La presidenta de los BAFTA, Sara Putt, inauguró las festividades de 2026 el domingo por la noche, elogiando a los nominados de este año y agradeciéndoles por brindar al público "ventanas a otros mundos y, a veces, sí, un respiro de este". Y elogió la excelencia que han demostrado, "sin algoritmos involucrados".

Crítica Cinéfila: Hamnet

La historia de Agnes, la esposa de William Shakespeare, en su lucha por superar la tragedia familiar que irrumpe en su vida. Una historia con el telón de fondo de la creación de una de las más conocidas e importantes obras de Shakespeare, 'Hamlet'.

La primera vez que vemos a Agnes (Jessie Buckley), está acurrucada y dormida al pie de un árbol gigante, cubierto de musgo. Vestida de rojo y morado, parece una flor, o quizás un órgano: un corazón abierto, listo para ser arrancado y abrazado. Junto a ella yace un vacío, un hueco bajo las raíces, tan profundo y oscuro que no parece nada en absoluto. En Hamnet , la última película de la directora ganadora del Óscar por Nomadland, Chloé Zhao, ambos elementos siempre van de la mano: alegría y miedo, amor y pérdida. Uno se alimenta del otro en un ciclo tan antiguo como la vida misma, e inevitable. Pero así como su William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal) convierte el dolor de estar atrapado entre ambos en la obra maestra que es Hamlet, Zhao aprovecha esos elementos para crear algo hermoso y catártico.

La primera vez que Will ve a Agnes, ella regresa de esa misma estancia en el bosque. Él está dentro, supuestamente dando clases particulares de latín a los hermanos de ella, pero lo distrae verla desde su ventana. La sigue al granero y le pregunta su nombre. Ella se niega tímidamente y se deja besar antes de responder. Su atracción es tan innegable que lo que representan para el resto del mundo apenas importa.

En un abrir y cerrar de ojos, ambos se escabullen por el bosque y se esconden en cobertizos, entablando un romance apasionado que saben perfectamente que ninguna de las dos familias aprobaría. La madre de Will, Mary (Emily Watson), ha oído rumores de que Agnes es hija de una bruja del bosque. El hermano de Agnes, Bartholomew (Joe Alwyn), aunque más abierto de mente, le pregunta por qué se ataría a "un erudito de rostro pálido". Pero sus opiniones dejan de importar cuando ella se queda embarazada, lo que deja a los felices futuros padres sin otra opción que casarse y formar una familia que con el tiempo incluirá tres adorables hijos.

El primer acto de Hamnet, que Zhao escribió con Maggie O'Farrell basándose en la novela de esta última, es una maravilla. El aprecio de Zhao por la grandeza natural brilla a través de ella, al igual que su atención al detalle. El director de fotografía Lukasz Zal captura la vasta exuberancia del bosque donde Agnes y Will se enamoran por primera vez en generosos planos generales que a veces hacen que la pareja parezca criaturas del bosque, y el diseñador de sonido Johnnie Burn evoca los ritmos tranquilos de la vida cotidiana con la ayuda musical ocasional de la etérea banda sonora de Max Richter.

Hay algo casi primitivo en Agnes, en particular. Es tan natural que, al romper aguas con su primer hijo, se escabulle al bosque para dar a luz sola. María la obliga a dar a luz por segunda vez en casa, y con razón le señala que llueve a cántaros. Pero las necesidades de la sociedad civilizada suelen entrometerse. Agnes podría haberse conformado con vagar por esas colinas para siempre, pero Will es un artista frustrado que incluso ella comprende que tiene la necesidad de estar entre otros creativos en Londres. Ella lo anima a perseguir sus sueños, pero a medida que la carrera de Will despega en la ciudad, ella se muestra cada vez más reacia a abandonar Stratford. Aun así, su vida familiar sigue siendo feliz cuando él está en casa: su único hijo, Hamnet (Jacobi Jupe), es especialmente cercano a su padre y sueña con trabajar con él en el teatro algún día.

Pero es durante su ausencia que ocurre una tragedia impensable, que destroza para siempre el idilio del clan Shakespeare y abre una brecha aparentemente insalvable entre Agnes y Will. Ella se retira, incapaz de seguir adelante y amargada por su ausencia cuando más lo necesitaba. Él parece impaciente por superar la situación, regresando a Londres mientras el dolor aún está presente y se entrega cada vez más a su trabajo.

Mescal está maravilloso como William, en un papel que podría provocar incluso más lágrimas que su melancólico padre joven en Aftersun. Minimiza sus emociones cuando uno esperaría que se excediera, lo que hace que los momentos en que explota sean aún más impactantes. Entre el reparto secundario, Watson merece una mención especial por un devastador monólogo a mitad de la película, en el que resume una de las tesis centrales de la película al afirmar, simplemente, que «Lo que se da se puede quitar en cualquier momento».

Pero es Buckley quien realmente deslumbra, al transformar a Agnes de la niña de espíritu libre a la esposa y madre amorosa, y luego a la mujer frágil y afligida. Enraíza a un personaje que podría haber parecido demasiado etéreo con sentimientos crudos y desnudos; hay un momento en el que grita de dolor hasta quedarse sin voz que arrastra a la audiencia hasta el final en un profundo pesar. Buckley es una actriz que puede transportarte a un viaje completo con solo observar a alguien. Lo hace al principio de la película, cuando Will le cuenta la historia de Orfeo y Eurídice (otra sobre una pareja desdichada y un vacío codicioso). Y lo hace aún más poderosamente en el tercer acto, cuando finalmente descubre lo que Will ha estado haciendo durante sus meses de ausencia.

Al principio, se siente confundida y angustiada al descubrir que su esposo le ha puesto a su nueva tragedia el nombre de su hijo. (Como indica la carta al comienzo de la película, "Hamlet" y "Hamnet" se consideraban el mismo nombre en aquella época). Poco a poco, sin embargo, empieza a comprender cómo Will ha expresado su dolor a través de su obra, transformando así una tragedia sin sentido en una obra maestra significativa que podría conmover a cientos, miles, millones de personas.

Hamnet no muestra con detalle cómo lo logra, ya que Zhao solo menciona brevemente su proceso creativo. Esto encaja a la perfección con la película. La gloria y el terror de los elementos, que nos presentan las primeras tomas de Agnes en el bosque, se transforman, como por arte de magia, en el poder perdurable del arte.

Temporada de premios 2026: Nominados a la 98va entrega de los Premios de la Academia

"Sinners" lidera las nominaciones al Oscar 2026 con un récord de 16 nominaciones , incluyendo mejor película, mejor director y mejor guión original.

"One Battle After Another" también es una de las principales nominadas, con 13, seguida por "Frankenstein", "Marty Supreme" y "Sentimental Value" con nueve cada una. Las cinco películas están nominadas a mejor película, junto con "Bugonia", "F1", "Hamnet", "The Secret Agent" y "Train Dreams". Temporada de premios 2026: Ganadores de la 83ra entrega de los Golden Globe Awards

'Hamnet' y 'One Battle After Another' ganaron los principales premios de cine de la noche, mientras que 'The Pitt', 'The Studio' y 'Adolescence' reinaron en las categorías de televisión.

"Hamnet" fue nombrada mejor película dramática en la 83.ª edición de los Globos de Oro, que se entregaron el domingo por la noche. Jessie Buckley, protagonista de la película, fue nombrada mejor actriz. "One Battle After Another" se alzó con el premio a la mejor película de comedia o musical. La película se alzó con tres premios más, incluyendo mejor actriz de reparto para Teyana Taylor y mejor director y mejor guion para Paul Thomas Anderson.

Rose Byrne ganó el premio a la mejor actriz de comedia o musical por "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You", mientras que Timothée Chalamet ganó el premio a mejor actor por "Marty Supreme". Temporada de Premios 2026: Nominados a la 83ra entrega de los Golden Globe Awards

"One Battle After Another" lidera las nominaciones a los Globos de Oro 2026 , que se anunciaron temprano el lunes por la mañana.

La película de Paul Thomas Anderson obtuvo un total de nueve nominaciones, incluyendo mejor película, director y guionista. "Sentimental Value" obtuvo ocho, seguida de "Sinners" con siete, "Hamnet" con seis y "Frankenstein" y "Wicked: For Good" con cinco cada una. En las categorías de TV, The White Lotus encabeza la lista con seis nominaciones, seguida de Adolescence con cinco y Only Murders in the Building y Severance con cuatro cada una.

Marlon Wayans y Skye P. Marshall anunciaron los nominados de este año la madrugada del lunes en 28 categorías. Los Globos de Oro premiarán a lo mejor del año en cine, televisión y, por primera vez, en podcasts.
